Megan Langford
With extensive experience in critical care and a passion for research, Megan Langford brings both clinical and academic expertise to her teaching at NMIT.

Megan Langford moved to the Nelson region in 2021, relocating from Christchurch and Auckland. A registered nurse for 14 years, she has built a diverse and highly specialised career in critical care, treating patients of all ages and acuity levels. Her background encompasses NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and CVICU, as well as experience in the Emergency Department, providing her with a comprehensive perspective on complex, high-pressure healthcare settings.

Alongside her clinical work, Megan is a postgraduate research student currently writing her thesis. This year, she attended an international conference in Darwin to present her work. She also contributes as a research assistant for a trans-Tasman health project.

At NMIT, Megan primarily teaches in the first and second years of the Bachelor of Nursing. In Year 1, she teaches the science course and assists students in several other classes. In Year 2, she focuses on medical and surgical nursing - areas where her critical care expertise offers depth and practical relevance to student learning.

Outside her academic and clinical interests, Megan is a mum to two boys, aged 5 and 10, who keep her life lively.
